- PwBD (SC/ST): up to 39 years
Educational Qualifications
- Trade Apprentice: ITI in relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT)
- Technician Apprentice: Full-time 3‑year Diploma in Engineering (relevant field)
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Graduate degree in any discipline (e.g., BA/BSc/BCom/BBA)
Note: Candidates with higher professional qualifications like BE, MBA, MCA, CA, LLB, etc., are not eligible and may be disqualified if applied.
Selection Process
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: Based solely on qualifying exam marks — no written test or interview. Ties are resolved by older candidate prevailing.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original documents.
- Medical Fitness Test: Must meet IOCL’s pre-engagement medical standards.
Stipend Structure
Monthly stipend varies by apprentice category (as per Apprentices Act & related amendments):
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹9,000 (₹4,500 from IOCL + ₹4,500 via BOAT through DBT)
- Technician Apprentices: ₹8,000 (₹4,000 from each IOCL and BOAT)
- Trade Apprentices: Typically between ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 — fully paid by IOCL.
Important: Graduate and Technician apprentices must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account for receipt via DBT.
